August 27 Becky's Goodbye Meal and Ashley's Birthday BBQWhat a packed schedule Neogles has had!
Becky's goodbye meal (she is lucky enough to be clearing off to Australia for a month!!) was a great evening, and everyone enjoyed their food and the good company. Ashley's BBQ was a riot! Put together a diverse bunch of people, fire poys, a large padding pool and a ball pit, plus of course alcohol, and you can guess what you get lol!!!
Enjoy! July 14 Neogles Members Awards 2006Hey! It was a really good night! Yummy food, fun prizes, one or two surprises and some great entertainment! (Even if I say so myself, as I am not including Big Brother in that statement! :P) You lot who wern't there missed out! :P hehe. See the pics above. M@ :-) May 12 Popcorn and DS Night!Hello!
This evening's DS night wasn't just about DSs, but popcorn and TV too!
Having played a load of games, we all had some freshly popped popcorn, from Tiff's popcorn maker, and then proceeded to watch some Friday night TV (comedies!)
Great fun was had by all!
May 05 Big DS Night!Neogles first DS night in quite a while went with a bang last night as we all battled it out on Mario Kart, Metroid Pinball, 42 All Time Classics and, of course, Tetris!
bertus even made a guest appearance, and Sean and Tiff joined in with the mayhem. Matt's newly redesigned loft was the venue!
Let's hope it's not so long before the next big DS night! January 01 New Year's Eve at the DolphinMatt, Sara, Vincent and Bertus descended upon the Dolphin last night for an evening of amusement and (for Sara!) drinking. Cher came on, which delighted Matt, and Vinnie was pleased by a Spice Girls song too.
Matt, Vinnie and Bert left around 11:30 to see the New Year in with family at home, while Sara stayed ith her friends there.
A good time was had by all! October 29 Becky's 24th B'dayBecky's 24th B'day took place at the Wok'n'Grill in Trumpington and the Regal in Cambridge.
It was one of the biggest Neogles attendances with a whopping 13 people.
A great night all round October 25 Rock 'n' Roll Dreamin'Good day!
Last night, as Becky's idea, we allwent to a small theatre in Letchworth for an entertaining night watching an amateur dramatics club knocking off the hits, with many old-school rock 'n' roll anthems and musical themes, everything indeed from Grease to the Titanic theme (Where were you, Hannah?) It was a very different night out, and one that we all enjoyed. Perhaps the highlight of the evening, though, was Sara's vain attempt to "sing" to '2 become 1' by the Spice Girls on the way home! Very funny!
Lasting memories all round. Hungry Horse and Bowling!Hey!
Hungry horse and bowling evening went well!
Everyone had loads to eat, and were comepletely disgusted with Matt's marrow-sucking antics!
When we went to the bowling alley, we were joined by the beautiful Hannah for two games, and had lots of fun. Dr Scaife and Vinnie won a game each.
All round, a very entertaining evening!
September 22 Snakes and Ladders Pub Quiz at the Dolphin!Hey!
When asked to comment on this evening's activities, Vinnie responded:
"erm, 5 noogles took part in a quiz. Vinnie thrashed Ashley at pool, then Naomi beat Vinnie coz he potted a black."
When asked to expand on that a little, he replied:
"there was much discussions and hilarity"
When asked if he had anything to add:
"J20s are lovely"
We had a good evening. Noogles in attendance: Vinnie, Nay, Matt, Ashley, Sara and Vicky, in order of attendance! Good to catch up with Vicky, and watching Vinnie beat Ash at pool was both entertaining and admittedly somewhat surprising!
M@ September 17 Bertus' 2nd 21st Brithday Party!Hey!
Just been and gone was Bertus' 22nd Birthday Party, or, as he would rather put it, his now second annual 21st birthday party. Described as "fun and cosy" by Wuggles, it was a good evening with copious amounts of food and great company. There were kebabs, bread sticks, Bertus' choice nuts, many drinks, salad and allsorts. No chopsticks however...how RUDE lol! There was a proper sofa under the gazebo though, which made for very comfortable seating for Sara and Becky, who dominated it for most of the evening!
Following the BBQ and when everyone was quite full, we all went to the Green Man (minus Vicky and Nay, who had to leave!) and had a drink before retiring for the night. A great evening for all involved methinks! September 07 Bexie Baby's DS NightHey!
A select bunch of Noogles had fun at Becky's the other night, playing Mario Kart, Professor Kawashima's Brain Training, Tetris and Metroid Prime: Hunters! Lots of fun to be had all round!
More DS nights should be upcoming soon, now that Sara and Naomi are back more people should be there! Woohoo!
September 02 NMAs 2006Hey! I am sure some of you will remember a long-sanding (in a Neogles timeframe anyway!) tradition of having comedy awards each years, entitled the Neogles Members Awards. This year is to be no exception, and I am sure with Nay and Sara comin back soon, and no-one else leaving the country for the forseable future (that I know of!), now would be a good time to put up a poll about it! This poll is important, please let us know if you are in or out! I hope we can make it as good this year as it has been in years previously. For those of you who are new to this: The NMAs consist of a number of awards, normally around 25, which are put up as polls each week for 4 weeks. You just have to give us funny ideas for the awards, then sign the polls. Whoever wins gets a certificate at the end of it! We will have an award ceremony at which everyone will be able to colelct their awards, This is one of the highlights of the Neogles calender, and an event you won;t want to miss! :-) Happy polling! M@ September 01 Mel C Concert Comments!Well she was on pretty much top form.... I think thats the best i've
ever heard her sing. Out of eight times now (i swear its eight) yeah must be 6 solo:2 group She stopped singing three songs cause they didnt sound right or had some problem hehehehe) (sounded alright to me, maybe it was a technical issue). So she had to re-sing them. It was quite different from a normal gig, they kept stopping and starting but hey they where filming so it was cool. She sang 20 songs in all, the first bit was an acoustic set, and she brought on a string quartet which was wicked. All the ballads sounded cool with them playing. Then she had a break and came back and did her "rock" set, which rocked. She was really really funny, shes very witty on stage. It was like a sauna in there though... she said it was officially the hottest gig she'd done, and it was boiling heheheh We didnt get out till 12, and didnt get home till 2 coz we were lookin for fast food places on the way home :-p I've only got a month to wait for the DVD! hehehehe its sooooo exciting. :-p (Vinnie) That would actually have been most appreciated-her wailing was at times pretty painful. However, she was a good live performer, and I enjoyed myself more than I expected. (Matt, with reference to Dr Scaife's comment that he would need ear plugs!) May 11 Wow!Neogles has an MSN Space!
Yay!
I hope you lot appreciate this, and that it takes some of the strain off of Wuggles!
